One of the primary focuses of the block party is to equip children with the tools they need to succeed academically. Backpacks filled with school supplies are distributed to students, ensuring that every child has the necessary materials to start the school year off on the right foot. The backpacks are carefully selected and filled with items such as notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, and other essential supplies.
In addition to school supplies, the block party also provides shoes for children. Volunteers go out shopping to collect shoes ensuring that each child finds a pair that fits comfortably. This initiative not only helps children look forward to starting the school year but also promotes their health and well-being.
The block party offers a plethora of engaging activities and games for children and families to enjoy. Exciting carnival-style games, face painting booths, and bounce houses. In addition to games and activities there will also be free food.
